West Central will be cancelling service to MainStreet Messenger phones. We have recently learned that our vender who supplies us the phones and pendants discontinued the product, resulting in short supply of replacement parts. Another important factor we have considered in making this decision is advancements in technology. Other companies offer products that are superior to ours and will be able to offer a greater benefit in the event of an emergency.
We will be cancelling all MainStreet Messenger services on January 1, 2018. However, as noted before, we are in short supply of replacement parts and this may dictate when service will be discontinued. Should equipment fail, we may not have replacements so we do ask that you proactively choose another option. We thank our members for using the service and regret having to cancel it because it has been a great benefit to our members.
